120 m school borehole with a 3 HP pump, 2 × 10,000 L tanks and a treatment unit serving 900 students and staff.
Water rationing was closing the school early twice a week. Drilling in weathered gneiss reached water at 84 m and a total depth of 120 m. Test pumping gave 6 m³/hr with quick recovery.
Because the raw water was slightly hard, we installed a sediment and softener train ahead of two 10,000 L tanks on a 6 m tower, plus a 4-tap drinking point. We also handled the WRA abstraction permit and the county public-health approval.
