240 m borehole in an arid area with a 4 kW solar pump, 50,000 L storage, cattle troughs and a kiosk with prepaid taps.
Funded by an NGO partner, this water point serves about 2,500 people and their livestock. Drilling in hard volcanic rock reached 240 m over nine days, with mild-steel surface casing and uPVC below.
A 4 kW solar pump with a 6 kW array lifts water to two 25,000 L tanks. We installed four cattle troughs, a two-tap kiosk with prepaid meters and trained a local committee on maintenance under an annual service contract.
